Boylesports, Ireland’s second largest bookmaker, continues its home market expansion confirming that it has purchased the retail network of JP Bookmakers from independent operator JP McGuinness.
Updating the market, Boylesports informs that it will takeover JP Bookmakers six betting shops located in the West of Ireland. The new retail assets will be rebranded as Boylesports outlets, and integrated within the firm’s Irish retail network of 240 betting shops.
Confirming the acquisition, Boylesports governance stated that takeover of JP Bookmakers assets was needed to increase the firm’s retail coverage within the West and North West of Ireland.
Taking over JP Bookmakers’ retail inventory, Boylesports CEO Conor Gray welcomed the acquisition and praised JP McGuinness for his success as an Irish independent bookmaker.

2017, was a defining year for Boylesports, as company founder and John Boyle stepped down from active duty with the company, handing leadership to his son-in-law Conor Gray as new Chief Executive.
