Perfect Match…Betfred deploys Aurum ‘reconciliation’ systems across UK estates

UK independent bookmaker Betfred has implemented new ‘reconciliation’ systems across its 1,600 betting estates powered by financial data matching software specialist Aurum Solutions.

Updating stakeholders, Betfred detailed that Aurum’s software would replace legacy provisions for its betting shop reconciliation functions which were inefficient for the bookmaker’s day-to-day demands.

June Manock, Betfred’s Head of Control, explained: “One of the issues we had with our previous provider was that there was an expectation that we would have to write our own scripts. Something which we didn’t have the experience or the expertise to do. We had quite a few bank accounts that we needed to reconcile, and it was taking quite a lot of time and effort out of our day.”

Betfred retail management states that by implementing Aurum, the bookmaker will now gain better transactional clarity between its in-shop systems and its head office.

Tim Andrews, Operations Manager at Aurum Solutions, commented on Betfred as a new client: “We’re really delighted that we were able to make such a positive difference to BetFred’s financial process. We’re also excited to continue working with the Betfred team, providing them with support when required and ensuring their Reconciliation Process adapts as their business grows further.”
