Greek lottery and gaming provider Intralot has announced the appointment of Chief Financial Officer Antonis Kerastaris as Group Chief Executive, following the retirement of Constantinos Antonopoulos after twenty two years in the role.
Kerastaris replaces Antonopoulos effective immediately, Intralot announced that Antonopoulos would remain at the company serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Kerastaris joined Intralot operations in January of this year, having previously served as Chief Executive of Greek telecoms operator Intracom.
Antonopoulos commented that after twenty-two years as Intralot Chief Executive Officer its was now time for the gaming and technology provider to have a change in leadership. Antonopoulos had been a founding member of Intralot in 1992.
“My colleagues and I are thankful for the support of the chairman of the board and the shareholders in a most enjoyable journey towards the creation of a large multinational company deeply rooted in five continents,” he explained. “I will continue to support the board and the management, towards the achievement of the company goals in the new era.
Intralot Chairman and Co-Founder Socrates Kokkalis, thanked Antonopoulos for his service to the company and wished him the best of luck in his new position within Intralot governance.
