Coral bets on full coverage multimedia play for Euro 2020

Coral has launched its new marketing campaign and podcast to ‘engage with the passion of football fans’ during the UEFA Euro 2020 championships.

Proclaiming to be the most rewarding bookmaker for football fans this summer, Coral has launched its new ‘Matchday Rewards’ campaign that will allow its customers to unlock prizes during each Euro 2020 football match.

“Coral wanted to reward customer loyalty throughout the tournament, especially given every matchday will be important for the passionate football fan,” Coral’s campaign statement read.

Supporting punters, Coral has assembled a panel of 24 experts to cover each nation playing in the tournament, including Alan Shearer as England expert, Ally McCoist for Scotland and Dean Saunders for Wales.

Chris Brocklehurst, Head of Brand Marketing at Coral, said: “We know that passionate football fans will have an interest in every game during the European Championships, not just the home nation matches or the big fixtures. For customers who’ll be betting every day, Matchday Rewards is a campaign that rewards loyalty throughout the tournament.”

Focusing on securing maximum exposure across all media verticals, Coral will continue its partnership with millennial content publisher JOE Media, who will produce seven ‘All To Play For podcasts hosted by former England international Joe Cole.

Coral’s Euro 2020 advertising and media strategy has been led by Bartle Bogle Hegarty London (BBH London) as a lead marketing agency.

“The Coral bettor is the guy that runs home to watch Austria v North Macedonia. He loves international football. Whether it’s a goalless draw or a match of the underdogs, he won’t miss a game this summer,” added Nick Gill, BBH Creative Director.

“To him, every match day matters. This film titled ‘3 Big Days’ describes his passion for the tournament as he takes a punt on 3 European Championship 2020 games and is rewarded with a £5.00 free bet thanks to Matchday Rewards from Coral.”
