BetGames aims to ‘transform live sports’ via Twain Sport launch

BetGames, a live dealer and betting games studio, has launched Twain Sport, a specialised vertical which it states will ‘transform live sports’.

Said to offer the ‘first truly tier-one’ hybrid sports tournaments, Twain Sports will launch in August of this year and provide live-streamed basketball (T-Basket), followed by football themed tournaments (T-Kick) with additional plans to extend its catalogue in 2023.

BetGames’ CEO, Andreas Koeberl, explained: “The day has finally come. Everyone at BetGames has been excited by this new concept since the inception of our partnership with the Hybrid Sports League, so it’s been a real challenge to keep it under our hats.

“Twain Sport is absolutely revolutionary in what it offers and the first true innovation in years. This is meant to reinvent live entertainment and the sports betting space by taking a new approach to content.”

“Promising high-frequency betting and the low-spend extended playing sessions BetGames has always been famous for, we’re confident that Twain Sport will prove transformative. We’re here to provide our partners with the boosted engagement, cross-sell opportunities and incremental revenue we know they’re looking for.”

BetGames noted that Twain Sport was created to ‘bridge the gap’ for demand in increased live sport with the platform offering a similar sporting schedule to Esports and Virtual Sports.

The concept, format and subsequent launch have been made possible by the agreement of the firm’s long-term cooperation with the EU-based Hybrid Sport League, which is part of the Hybrid Sport Federation, a body that will organise and supervise the events schedule.

Moreover, BetGames stated it can offer Twain Sport across all of its current regulated markets and jurisdictions.

Providing operators 14 hours of non-stop sporting action daily, with a match every three minutes in an eight-player tournament format, Twain’s events will total 15 matches per tournament, encompassing 210 matches per day, and 6,300 in total per month, with figures set to increase with expanding hours.

Each short-form football and basketball tournament will host two groups of four players competing against each other, with 50+ outright on offer, 60+ on a single match, and 10+ single match shot values.

The events will be delivered under an exclusive broadcasting agreement with the Hybrid Sports League, which establishes rules of play, software requirements and implement anti-match fixing protocols with other safeguarding methods.
