SharedPlay recruits Jacqui Gatt as venture COO

LeoVegas backed start-up SharedPlay has announced its first senior appointment, recruiting Jacqui Gatt as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Gatt the former Director of Gaming Operations for Casumo Malta, joins SharedPlay as the start-up builds the foundations of its B2B solution which aims to optimise multi-player gaming opportunities, engagements and experiences for online operators.

Expanding its leadership team, SharedPlay highlighted Gatt’s proven track record leading igaming units and B2C commercial strategies for Casumo, Mr Green and Betsson AB.

The hiring of  Gatt forms part of SharedPlay’s enterprise strategy, which was undertaken during 2021 as company founder Karolina Pelc raised a seed investment of €1.1 million secured by LeoVentures the venture capital firm of LeoVegas AB.

“It’s a proud moment to see Jacqui join the team at SharedPlay as a COO,” commented SharedPlay founder Karolina Pelc.

“With such vast experience, an immaculate reputation and versatile skillset, she would be an asset to every company—but I truly believe, with what can offer, we can appeal to her true passion for product and operations.”

Joining Pelc’s venture, Gatt outlined the huge areas of opportunity presented to igaming operators by providing immersive and community-based experiences for players – an underpenetrated dynamic that SharedPlay will seek to capitalise on

“Looking at social, music and video streaming entertainment apps, the ‘shared experience’ concept is bang on trend. Our goal is to deliver a similar product for online casinos,” Gatt remarked.
