Scientific Games has appointed Shawn Dennis, a 25-year veteran of entertainment, consumer products and sports marketing industries, as Chief Marketing Officer.
In her new role Dennis will be responsible for growing Scientific Games on a global scale, and increasing engagement with customers and players across its interactive, lottery and gaming segments.
Kevin Sheehan, Scientific Games Chief Executive Officer and President, who Dennis will report to in the new role, said, “We are excited to welcome Shawn to the Scientific Games executive team.
“With her tremendous experience leading marketing for high profile companies and brands in the entertainment and technology sector, she is perfectly suited to lead our marketing efforts to enhance consumer and customer engagement, drive topline revenue growth and catapult the Company’s next phase of growth.”
Dennis is to leave her role of Global Head of Brand and Franchise Development at DreamWorks Animation to take up this new role with Scientific Games.
During her DreamWorks tenure, Dennis was responsible for accelerating their industry position by extending the life on iconic franchises through enhanced consumer products licensing, and leveraging new customer engagement points. One such example is DreamWorks Television, the world’s largest Youtube tween and kids channels.
Prior to DreamWorks Dennis oversaw marketing across all channels for Mattel’s American Girl Company, led global B2B marketing, brand management and marketing communications for Dell Computers and served as Chief Marketing Officer for the National Football League.
