Cristina Niculae joins Interactive Gaming Group as new CEO

Multi-platform iGaming marketing firm Interactive Gaming Group (IGG) has strengthened its board with the appointment of Cristina Niculae as the new CEO.

Niculae has over 17 years of experience in business leadership roles. Most recently, she held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at GiG, having joined the company in 2017 as the Chief Operating Officer of its iGamingCloud business.

Commenting on her new position, Niculae said: “I am delighted to accept the role as CEO of Interactive Gaming Group and lead  the company  into  its  next  phase  of  growth.  

“I  have  been  impressed  by  the  innovative  and experienced  founding  team  and  I  believe  in  this  motivated  and  highly  skilled  group  of people driven by a mission to rapidly become the best streaming affiliate in the industry.”

In her position as COO of iGamingCloud, Nicalue was instrumental in structuring the group both strategically and operationally.

Her achievements throughout her career have earned her a number of awards, and she was named by iGaming Business as one of the ‘Top 5 Most influential Women in the Industry’ in 2019, and identified as a key figure to watch.

In a joint statement, IGG’s founders said: “We believe that Cristina is the perfect person to enable Interactive Gaming Group to scale to the next level and become a leading power-player in the iGaming industry.”

In her own official statement, Nicuale discussed the continued expansion of the global live game streaming market, which is expected to grow at a CAGR of 20% between 2020 and 2027, and is currently valued at £40 billion.

She also highlighted the increasing significance of immersive digital experiences and technology in modern markets, including the casino and gaming industry, stating: “What used to be an experience shared with a limited group of friends can now reach diverse audiences worldwide creating new business potential.”

The new CEO concluded: “In the casino space, rapid digitalisation and increased competition between online casinos are creating a strong value proposition for what streaming communities have to offer.

“Therefore,  I  feel  inspired  by  the  tremendous  potential  of  Interactive  Gaming Group  to innovate and create long term value in this exciting space.

“In my new role I will be focusing on building the company vision and culture, optimize processes to nurture talent and innovation, establish new strategic partnerships and create a clear strategy for sustainable growth.”

Malta-based IGG provides multi-platform experiences and streaming services to a variety of gambling operators, including LeoVegas, MrGreen and Betsson.
