Same-game multis, visualisations and content: Stats Perform on the areas ripe for innovation

Last year, Stats Perform launched a new campaign to ‘light up your sportsbook’ with a huge focus on live streaming. Now, the company has identified three new areas that are ripe for innovation.

In this second part of his interview with SBC News, Stats Perform Betting Product VP Nick Cockerill discusses the company’s plans to light up same-game multis, live game visualisations and content discovery in 2023 and beyond.

Finally: bettors get information to help with same-game multis and bet-builders

Flutter’s Q4 report highlighted the significant role bet-builders play in driving operators’ growth, with 71% of active World Cup 2022 customers utilising this feature.

Many same-game bets for soccer include player stats legs, such as player shots, tackles, fouls and passes. Stats Perform’s trusted, real-time granular Opta sports data is critical to empower operators to offer such products.

However, the tools to allow bettors to confidently research such bets, and to help them select same-game-multis legs, have lagged behind.

That’s why, at our Light Up Your Sportsbook product launch last year, we introduced the Dynamic Betting Stats API. It’s a versatile, searchable API that enables operators and affiliates to offer personalised, contextual information to bettors about granular stats markets, that updates as they change selections.

Now we have also created a plug-and-play version of this API. We call it the Same Game Multi Assistant, because it helps bettors make decisions about prop bets and bet-builders.

It’s available as an ‘app’ inside our new Content Player Pro. That means no additional integration work required, for more than 250+ global football competitions. It is built on-top of our rich Opta database that is recognised and trusted by fans and bettors around the world, thanks to the experience, expertise and care of our data collection teams, and the advanced tools and processes they use.

The Same Game Multi Assistant simplifies complex research tasks for bettors, allowing them to research 15+ prop markets directly within your sportsbook, without needing to leave. It also simplifies how sportsbooks can use our API, as this new hosted tool is quick to embed into a betting site or app.

Let’s take a look at the functionality inside this powerful new product:

Here, we have a clear view of players who have scored goals in their last 6 games, the last 12 games, and throughout the season. Leading the pack unsurprisingly was Erling Haaland, and by showcasing all players who have achieved this feat, we make it incredibly convenient for bettors to explore potential options that they may have overlooked in the market.

As a match approaches kick-off, we mark the players in the starting line-up, usually added an hour before, allowing your customers to choose players and avoid voids.

Once the match goes in-play, the Same Game Multi Assistant expands its capabilities. We assist bettors in effortlessly tracking their in-play statistics across the 15+ categories we cover. This helps with cash-out decisions and placing in-play bets.

Stats tracked in the Same Game Multi Assistant include goals, cards, shots on target, assists, offsides, and more. It also provides insights on shots inside/outside the box and allows tracking of player performances in-play for quick assessment of above-average performances.

The positive feedback from bettors during our development phase has been really helpful. We’re bringing valuable information directly to your bettors’ fingertips, eliminating the need to visit external sites or paywalls. It means they can be more connected to their bet, make decisions faster, and create a valuable resource that will bring them back to you more often. It’s a powerful tool to increase engagement and activity on pre-match and in-play event pages.

I’ve only covered a few of many features of the Same Game Multi Assistant. If you would like to explore the product in greater detail, with more screenshots showcasing all the functionality and details, or see a demo, please get in touch with our team. We’d be happy to help.

And in addition to football, we’re also actively developing the API for tennis and basketball. It’s rewarding to be exposing our Opta data in such an interactive way and will help player props, bet-builders and same-game multis achieve their full engagement potential.
