Checkd Group to accelerate growth with new digital PR team

Checkd Group has announced a new digital PR team to boost its organic search performance across its key sites in the UK and the US. 

Firstly, the technology-led sports betting specialist has named James Dixon as the Head of Digital PR of Checkd Media – the company’s content and marketing arm. 

Dixon said on his appointment: “This is a key moment for the trajectory of the organic team, bringing together an industry-leading passionate and experienced team that will accelerate the growth of Checkd Group’s brands going forward.”

In detail, Dixon will lead a team that will work on boosting the visibility of proprietary brands in the UK, North America, Canada and South America, including Footy Accumulators, The Winners Enclosure and FlashPicks.

He will also be providing digital PR services to partners through the creation of a performance marketing service offering. 

Dixon continued: “The benefits of having a team in-house have already been visible with huge improvements in our keyword rankings resulting in record monthly traffic and conversions, with the teams’ improved efficiency meaning we can react quickly to leverage key opportunities to improve the authority and expertise of the brands. 

“The team are going to be living and breathing the brands and we’ve made sure to bring in a lot of very experienced people who understand the kind of ideas and approaches that work as we establish a forward-thinking team to tackle our brands’ strategies.”

A former journalist with 10 years of experience in the igaming industry, Dixon arrives from online casino affiliate BonusFinder, of which Checkd praised him for his ‘proven track record of success in key markets around the world’.  

Moreover, Checkd Group has also revealed George Rogan and Liam Conroy as new Digital PR Managers in support of Dixon, while Charlie Giblin has been appointed Digital PR Executive.   

The new hires follow Rob Cable’s appointment as PPC manager late last year, as well as George Webb joining as Head of SEO to bolster the company’s activity in the UK and the US.
