Gauselmann UK upgrades Roadchef gaming areas

The UK division of German gaming machines manufacturing conglomerate, Gauselmann Group, is set to significantly expand its ‘Cat-C’ and ‘B3’ machines portfolio after revamping its partnership with Roadchef – a leading operator of UK motorway service areas.

Gauselmann UK, which incorporates the divisions of Blueprint Gaming, Blueprint Operations and Regal Gaming & Leisure, has completed the rollout of over 500 C-&-B3 machines across Roadchef thirty UK service stations.

Supporting Gauselmann’s machine upgrades, Roadchef has redesigned all adult gaming centres (AGCs) operating across the firm’s entire area locations which service Britain’s busiest motorways.

Tracy Baitup, Roadchef’s Director of Commercial Income, added: “This was a massive logistical undertaking which was carried out successfully by the Blueprint, Merkur and Regal thanks to precise, almost military-style planning. The challenge was to enhance the design and retail credentials of each venue but at the same time minimise the collective machine downtime. It’s an extremely delicate balance to get right but I am delighted to confirm the team excelled itself.”

Moving forward, Roadchef’s AGCs will feature Blueprint Gaming latest Aurora Noir cabinets, which Gauselmann details as its top performer for its B3 machine category.

Cat-C enhancements see top-performing games ‘Eye of Horus‘ and ‘Fishin’ Frenzy‘ included within the Motorway Service Area (MSA), which will be delivered through the GeWeTe and MARS platform, enabling a complete TiTO and connected solution.

Ryan Collinge, Blueprint Group Business Development Director, said: “In terms of the product mix, it’s not simply a question of replicating what players would find within a high street AGC. Because there are fewer machine positions and in most cases only four B3s, it is essential to have the very best performing product which we have achieved with games including Eye of Horus and Fishing Frenzy as both Cat C and B3 content, the latter housed in the latest Aurora Noir cabinets.

“We have taken the decision to increase the density of the digital Cat C offering which has had an immediate and positive impact on player experience. Being part of the Gauselmann Group has also meant that we have been able to deliver a complete and integrated solution courtesy of the GeWeTe and the MARS platform which is the first time that the brand has been able to provide a complete TiTO solution across an MSA estate.”
