Betway has moved to expand its corporate governance team, confirming the appointment of Roger Parkes as new Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.
Parkes has led Betway Group corporate compliance and licensing initiatives since 2015 and has previously served as Senior Sector lead for the UK Gambling Commission (2014-2015).
The promotion will see Parkes join the Betway Limited board, which is based in Malta.
Anthony Werkman, CEO of Betway, commented on the promotions: “Roger has been a wonderful addition to the Betway Group, has truly made his mark since arriving in 2015.
“He has helped make compliance a key area of focus for us and promoting him to the board at Betway Ltd. Further strengthens our abilities in this area.
“It is vitally important that as the regulatory and compliance landscape evolves for operators that we have a recognised leader in their field driving our compliance structure forward. In my mind there is no-one better placed than Roger to do that.”
In just under three years at Win Technologies, Parkes has overseen exponential growth of the dedicated Compliance team, as well as the way compliance is perceived group-wide.
Speaking about the move, Parkes said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working for Win Technologies in London, and now look forward to greater exposure to the wider business.
“I am hoping to foster an even greater compliance culture throughout the Betway Group and show that compliance is a key aspect of how we do business at board level.”
