Daily fantasy sports (DFS) has been a growing phenomenon in the football and sports betting industries, which is why SBC are so excited about the Fantasy Stars panel at #bofcon in April.
With DFS making such a big noise in the United States, our expert panel will discuss the understandable clamour for it here in Europe and how it can dovetail with betting.
One of these experts will be Viktor Enoksen, a disillusioned Newcastle fan and co-founder of FantasyBet, a company who take pride in creating fast-paced, highly entertaining fantasy games.

Which Football club do you support?
A slightly odd one for a Norwegian; I’m a Newcastle supporter.
How do you judge their season so far?
Situation normal.
How does your role with FantasyBet involve you in both Betting and Football?
At the moment the only sport we offer at FantasyBet is football, although we are looking to add other sports as well. I am involved in most activities going on in the company, and a true love of football is a prerequisite for me doing my job well.
For the betting part, as a fantasy-operator we only facilitate pool betting, which is taking betting back to its purest form: You versus another person, who knows most about football?
Why did you want to speak at Betting on Football 2016?
I’m always excited to speak about fantasy football and I’m just happy someone was interested enough to invite me. I was involved in fantasy betting back when FanDuel’s biggest games had $1,000 prize pools compared to the $5,000,000 games they are running now. Hopefully I will be able to share some insight and answer a few questions people might have.
What will you be discussing on your panel session?
Forecasting the future is not an easy task, but I’ll do a bit of that. I’m sure some members of the audience are unsure about the role fantasy has to play in the betting landscape. I’ll make the case that fantasy’s growth is likely to strengthen the position of betting as a whole.
What are you most excited about ahead of the conference?
It’s my first time at the BOFCON. I’m very much looking forward to hear some informative talks and meet interesting people.
