The second eSports Game Awards took place in Los Angeles this weekend in front of a packed Microsoft Theatre.
Kenny Schrub, a Frenchman who plays Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for Team EnVyUs, picked up the Player of the Year award fending off strong competition from the likes of Syed Sumail Hassan, Lee Sang-hyeok, Olof Kajbjer and Peter Dagar.
Schrub’s game of choice, Counter-Strike:Global Offensive, was voted eSports Game of the Year whilst the main Game of the Year prize went to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Other awards included Best Mobile Game (Lara Croft Go) and Developer of the Year (CD Projekt Red) whilst the eSports Team of the Year award went to Optic Gaming. There was fierce competition for this prize with teams such as Fnatic, Evil Geniuses and others all having had excellent 2015 campaigns.
