The European tipping network, which offers predictions in 10 different languages, saw a bumper crop of football tips this weekend, with 8,263 across a vast number of competitions.
While the English Premier League was by far the most popular league for tipsters over the weekend, attracting 14.4% of the action, it was the Italian division which was the most productive for tipsters, despite attracting 7.3% of tips.
bet365 proved to be the most popular bookmaker for Serie A punters on the bettingexpert network taking 16% of tips placed (1326 tips in total).
Bettingexpert’s William Chung commented on the weekend’s Serie A action:
“One of the main reasons to the high yield could be that only 2 out of the 10 matches played in Serie A ended with a draw, and there was almost no surprises or odd results.”
The other high yield divisions this weekend were the Gambrinus League in the Czech Republic and the Swedish Allsvenskan.
In contrast, tipsters performed worst in Spain’s Primera Division this weekend, followed by the Premier League and the German Bundesliga.Chung further detailed:
“Experts always warn punters that they should avoid betting on the biggest league as the betting value is low, and bettingexpert tipsters who placed their bets on the Spanish Primera Division this weekend performed poorly, as they only managed to have a strike-rate of 40%. The 0-0 result between Valencia and Real Betis, and especially Real Madrid’s narrow win of 1-0 against Granada whom they beat 9-1 at home last season led lots of tipsters to lose their bets.”
