Fun88 Asia nets 3-year Newcastle United shirt sponsorship

Newcastle United has confirmed that Asia-focused online gambling brand Fun88 has signed a three-year agreement becoming the ‘Magpies’ official shirt sponsor.

Fun88 replaces UK quick loans operator Wonga.com as Newcastle United shirt sponsor, for the upcoming Premier League Season 2017/2018, in which the football club will celebrate its 125th anniversary.   

Securing its new partner, Newcastle United management revealed to local media sources, that Fun88 would be its biggest shirt sponsor to date.

In celebration of signing the partnership, Newcastle United will be launching three new social media channels in Asia – WeChat, Weibo & Dongqiudi – targeting the Premier League’s biggest international fanbase in China with all the latest club news and exclusive content.

Lee Charnley, Managing Director at Newcastle United, said: “It was important for us to find the right partner and in FUN88, we have a shirt sponsor that understands the club and brings significant benefits commercially. The relationship will enable the club and FUN88 to enhance our respective global profiles together as we celebrate a landmark season and embark on the exciting Premier League campaign ahead.”
