W2 forms tech alliance with Crucial Compliance ahead of critical 2021

Digital KYC, compliance and risk assessment solutions provider W2 Data has formed a strategic partnership with Gibraltar-based igaming consultancy Crucial Compliance.

The partnership will focus on delivering custom-made data solutions for licensed igaming operators, allowing brands and subsidiaries to navigate multi-regulatory complexities and further optimise their operations and customer services servicing multiple jurisdictions.

Recognised as a leading developer of compliance modules for high-risk sectors, W2 will supply Crucial Compliance with data-base solutions to complement and bolster its own responsible gaming product offering.

Updating its igaming stakeholders, W2 noted that its partnership had been formed in preparation for a raft of sweeping regulatory changes across western European gambling markets inbound for 2021.

Backing the partnership, Peter Murray, Group Head of Sales at W2 commented: “There can be no more critical issue facing all stakeholders than ensuring customers are protected and player safety is at the heart of everything the industry does. That is why we value this partnership so much. The team at Crucial Compliance bring a unique perspective and wealth of expertise with a desire to simplify solutions and delivery that matches ours. We want that collaboration of data, technology, and subject matter expertise to deliver solutions that make a difference.”

Moving forward,  W2 will work closely with Crucial Compliance own team of developers and analysts, allowing for the two companies to deliver a deeper integration of existing systems, whilst helping to develop new, inline Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) solutions for partners.

For Crucial Compliance, its W2 partnership follows a period of significant growth, brought on by new industry clients. This month, the Gibraltar compliance consultancy announced the appointment of Lottoland Group CEO Nigel Birrell as its founding Non-Executive Chairman,

Andy Masters COO at Crucial said of the partnership: “I am delighted that W2 have entered into their first ever partnership in iGaming with Crucial Compliance.  Our teams have joined forces to deliver simple-to-integrate, tiered compliance solutions to support operators existing platforms and our own.  We have also entered into a joint analytical roadmap to solve some of the most complex data driven challenges in AML, EDD and Compliance, the fruits of which we will be bringing to market in Q1 2021 all centred around increased player protection and robust player decisions.”
