With the growth of the esports the betting market is expanding accordingly, with evermore operators realising the opportunities of getting in on the act early.
TonyBet has offered esports betting for some time, and has announced that it will now include further live markets for certain tournaments.
A TonyBet statement said: “We believe that this market has a lot of potential.”
It continued: “It’s clear that the gaming culture is gaining popularity, becoming more mainstream and people are willing and interested to participate in or watch the tournaments, so naturally we want our customers to be able to actively take part and support their favourites.”
The betting operator has offered live betting on esports in the past; it did so during the LoL World Championship grand finals. In the future it will offer real time betting on events including the Smite NA Pro League finals, DreamHack Winter 2015 and the Summit 4 as well as numerous others.
