Having reported Unibet Plc’s best ever financial quarter performance last week, recording a doubling in net profits to £16.5 million, Unibet CEO Henrik Tjärnström outlined that the operator would continue to invest and innovate through its mobile channels in order to maintain its positive momentum.
Speaking to investors, Unibet’s CEO hailed the operators mobile product strategy which Tjärnström claimed was innovative and amongst the best in the igaming market.
Unibet released figures which stated that mobile products now accounted for 38% of corporate revenues. Its sports betting division had seen 55% of gross winnings generated through its mobile sports betting product.
Tjärnström stated that in 2014, Unibet had made a number of key investments in its mobile channels, which furthered resources and allowed the operator to optimise mobile vertical performance. The improvements have seen corporate revenues from mobile verticals double from 19 to 38%.
Looking to the future, Tjärnström stated that Unibet would continue to develop and innovate its consumer propositions through mobile verticals. Tjärnström noted the release of Unibet developed iPad optimised casino application which would feature “exclusive content”.
Furthermore Tjärnström stated that Unibet’s in-house developed poker room, Unibet Poker would look to increase its market presence and acquire new customers by providing market leading mobile and tablet game play.
Tjärnström stated that Unibet customers would continue to see improvements and improved experiences throughout the company’s mobile inventory in 2015.
