FeedConstruct is betting heavily on basketball this year, it seems, adding yet another tournament to its partnership portfolio.
The SoftConstruct-owned sports data company has signed a global streaming and data rights deal with Equador’s Liga Básquet Pro.
Latin America, and particularly Latin American baseball, has become a key focus for FeedConstruct this year, as partnerships were signed in this field in January and March.
The former saw FeedConstruct partner with Chile’s Liga Nacional de Básquetbol and Bolivia’s Libobásquet, followed by a deal with Argentina’s top four basketball leagues – Liga Nacional (LNB), Liga Argentina, Liga Federal, Liga Femenina and La Liga Proximo.
“We are excited to expand our regional basketball portfolio with the addition of Liga Básquet Pro,” said Ani Isakhanyan, Head of Rights and Content at FeedConstruct
“With its passionate fan base and strong competitive profile, the league brings valuable content opportunities to our network of more than 100 operators worldwide.”
FeedConstruct has identified Latin America as a key growth region for the company, noting the growth of the sports betting industry across markets like Ecuador, Argentina, Chile and Brazil, among other nations.
The firm has identified strong commercial appeal and competitive matchups in Ecuadoran basketball, and states that it aims to provide “consistent and engaging basketball content” to sportsbooks’ customers via the deal.
“This partnership with FeedConstruct marks a decisive step in the international projection of Ecuadorian basketball,” said Enrique Zeballos Márquez, President of Liga Básquet Pro.
“Working with a global leader in sports media and data rights allows us to maximise the value of our competition, safeguard the integrity of its data, and bring it to new audiences worldwide.”
Basketball is not FeedConstruct’s only focus, however. The company has also been signing deals covering football and esports – the former with the Romanian Football Federation and the latter with VBet.
