Stake takes strides in LatAm strategy with Peru launch

Stake.com has been granted a casino and a sportsbook licence in Peru, enabling it to launch stake.pe

The move marks a significant step in Stake’s strategic expansion into Latin America’s regulated markets, with Stake.pe marking the operator’s second regulated LatAm market, after it acquired Betfair Colombia late last year.

Stake General Manager for Latin America, Diana Otalora, commented: “We are delighted to bring Stake to Peru, a country that has a lot of potential for digital growth, which has been evident in recent years.

“This shows our ambition to provide world-class entertainment to Peruvian customers and to expand our reach in LatAm.”

In recent weeks, Stake.com confirmed its acquisition of Baldo Line SRL – the operating company of Italian sportsbook Idealbet.it – as the company continues to pursue global growth.

Meanwhile, Stake has hired a local Country Manager in Peru, Jennyfer Escobar, who joins the team alongside a number of senior women leading the brand’s LatAm strategy.

“I am thrilled to join team Stake and help to guide efforts in Peru,” noted Escobar. “The Peruvian market has significant growth potential and we look forward to engaging even further with the region.

“I’m excited to continue contributing to the dynamic world of gaming in Peru and to drive innovation in this evolving industry.”

The company emphasised that it is committed to responsible gambling practices and will work closely with local representatives to ensure a ‘safe and enjoyable’ experience for its customers.
