OKTO links with Modulus in second betting partnership of 2024

OKTO has formed a wide-reaching international agreement with gaming systems platform Modulus.

In its latest move in the international gambling sector, OKTO’s core areas of focus in the deal will be Europe and Latin America, with the latter region high on the company’s agenda for 2024 as Brazil finalises the regulations for a nationwide betting market.

Specifics of the deal will see OKTO.DIRECT, the Athens-based company’s retail payment solution, and the OKTO.WALLET integrated into its new partner’s gaming platform to offer ‘multiple payment methods’ across various Modulus-connected venues.

Marc Attal, COO of Modulus, commented: “We’re excited to kick-off this partnership with OKTO at this year’s ICE show.

“By integrating their advanced payment technology with our player-centric gaming Management system, we’re enhancing the gaming experience with seamless, secure transactions that prioritise player safety and security.”

The deal is OKTO’s second betting partnership of the year, following a deal inked with Swedish multinational operator Betsson last month with an operational focus on the payments firm’s native Greek market.

Meanwhile, in a further expansion of its Americas profile the company became the latest igaming payments provider to join the American Gaming Association (AGA).

With full regulation and market launch in Brazil expected in the coming months, Latin America’s largest nation also remains a high priority for the company.

“At OKTO, we’re all about delivering next-level payments tech alongside responsible gaming practices,” added Lawrence Levy, OKTO’s CCO of Latin America.

“We’re glad for our collaboration with Modulus and we’re fully aligned, giving users and operators alike the smooth, immersive experience they crave for pay-ins and outs.

“This partnership is about raising the bar for gaming experiences across the board, and payments as the last mile of the experience are the most crucial.”
