William Hill aiming for greater digital engagement with Dizplai deal

William Hill has made its latest move in a series of bids to enhance its customer experience, this time targeting its streaming offering via a partnership with Dizplai.

The 888 Holdings-owned omnichannel bookmaker aims to enhance the retail William Hill TV and online Betting TV platforms using Dizplai’s real-time scores, updates and betting odds services.

Initially, the partnership will focus on football, with data provided by Stats Perform. This will encompass live updates from tournaments such as the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two, Scottish Premiership, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.

Ed Abis, Managing Director at Dizplai, remarked: “We are proud to be helping William Hill launch this new service for its customers. This new breed of dynamic, data-rich live content is exactly what the Dizplai platform has been designed to enable. 

“We have greatly enjoyed the creative collaboration with the William Hill team in getting the service up and running, and look forward to innovating further in the months ahead.”

Driving engagement towards William Hill’s digital estate via the Betting TV and retail William TV platforms – the latter of which is distributed across the bookmaker’s high-street estate of more than 1,300 shops – is the ultimate goal of the partnership, with plans in place for more sports to be added in the future.

The agreement is the latest in a series of partnerships William Hill has signed in recent months to further enhance its proportion to customers, following a horse racing content deal with BetMakers and an open banking agreement with TrueLayer.

“The collaboration with Dizplai has enabled us to launch high-quality, dynamic real-time graphics quickly and efficiently. We are looking forward to innovating further by adding new sports, betting odds and more audience engagement features.”
