Eyas Gaming to target regulated German market

Three industry veterans have teamed up to launch Eyas Gaming, a new venture which will aim to target the newly regulated German online gambling market.

Eyas Gaming will be led by Joe Saumarez-Smith, Michael Brady and Adam Joseph, who have outlined plans to launch an online gaming offering in July 2021.

Joe Saumarez Smith, Chairman of Eyas Gaming, stated: “The regulation of the German market is a very exciting time and a huge opportunity for us.

“The proposed rules for the German market will present some big challenges for all operators but we think that we will be able to build a market-leading product with Merkur that is specific to the German market and the new regulatory regime.”

Having received the backing of the Gauselmann Group, Eyas Gaming is expected to apply for a German online gambling licence as soon as such licences are made available.

Eyas Gaming will use the Bede Gaming platform for all its operations, which Gauselmann acquired in March 2020. Moreover, the firm will offer Merkur online slots games from Gauselmann’s Blueprint and Edict divisions.

Paul Gauselmann, founder and CEO of the Gauselmann Group, said: “I am thrilled about this collaboration.

“The operational experience of our partners in conjunction with our technological platform as well as our renowned Merkur games will enable us to successfully establish online offerings in Germany and other regulated markets.”
