Sports betting platform and software supplier Kambi Group Plc has expanded its golf-related inventory ahead of the start of the Ryder Cup 2018 (27-30 September).
Anticipating a record-breaking handle across its partner network, the Stockholm-listed technology supplier has rolled out an in-depth range of pre-match and in-play betting markets for its customers on both sides of the Atlantic.
Hosted bi-annually, the Ryder Cup is golf’s showcase competition generating the sport’s largest global audience pitching Team Europe vs Team USA.
For its 2018 addition, Kambi declares that it will deliver ‘the industry’s market-leading experience before and during each of the competition’s three days.’
Ahead of today’s first drive, Kambi offers a vast array of ‘market standard outrights’, which include top team points scorer, top rookie and top wildcard, as well as a range of ‘special bets’ including the number of points gained by individual players and hole-in-one-related markets.
Across the three days of golfing action, Kambi will offer all 28 matches as in-play markets, allowing its partner customers to wager on every hole, in addition, to live betting on match winner, leader after nine holes and the hole on which the match will end.
Both pre-match and in-play inventory will be supported by Kambi ‘instant markets’, which will introduce a variety of shot-by-shot markets for featured matches, with live bet offers including to ‘hit the fairway, find a bunker, land in water hazard and nearest to the pin’.
“We are very excited by what the next few days will bring,” said Johan Munthe, Head of Pre-Match at Kambi.“The Ryder Cup has always been popular among Europe-based bettors and, following the return to form of arguably the greatest golfer of all time in Tiger Woods, we are also seeing plenty of interest from our new US players in our market-leading pre-match offering.
“Coupled with our hole-by-hole live coverage and unrivalled range of instant markets, we are expecting to see record turnover while we are once again proving that a high-quality Sportsbook must not only deliver a best-in-class UX for a handful of sports but across all sports.”
