US sports broadcaster CBS Sports (CBS Networks) has launched its new interactive TV show ‘SportsLine Edge’, developing content for sports betting and daily fantasy sports audiences.
SportsLine Edge was launched last weekend on CBS Sports HQ streaming service, in time for the start of the new NFL season.
CBS Sports details that it will deliver up to eleven hours of programming of SportsLine Edge content each week, informing audiences with metric-driven data and insights on sports betting markets and daily fantasy sports picks.
SportsLine Edge is fronted by DFS tipster and CBS Sports radio host Nick Kostos, with the support of former Las Vegas oddsmaker Todd Fuhrman as co-anchor.
Live game-day broadcasts will feature betting experts and sports guests offering advice and opinion on all football matches.
CBS Sports becomes the latest media owner/publisher, to launch dedicated programming for the US sports betting market.
This September, racing network TVG and its operating firm FanDuel (legacy Betfair US) launched its first sports betting-centric show ‘The Barstool Sports Advisors’ in partnership with US sports satirical and pop culture website Barstoolsports.com
Meanwhile, CBS Sports competitor ESPN last May announced that it had partnered with US sports data firm the Action Network to launch its new ‘I’ll take that bet’ show.
