Codere Apuestas signs three-year partnership with Real Madrid

Codere Apuestas, part of the Spanish multi-national company Codere Group, has become the official sports bookmaker for Real Madrid. The bookmaker will sponsor ‘Real’ for three seasons until 2019.

Codere Apuestas & Real MadridAs ‘Official Sports Bookmaker’, Codere Apuestas will increase its sports betting content, which will include a series of Real Madrid specials such as how many titles the club will win, and how many goals the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata will score.

The official presentation, which took place yesterday at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, was attended by both Codere Group’s Chairman & CEO José Antonio Martínez Sampedro and Real Madrid’s Institutional Relations Chief Officer Emilio Butragueño.

Ángel Fernández, Marketing Chief Officer for Codere Apuestas, commented: “In Codere Apuestas, we have always promoted fair gaming, respect for the rules and fair play with our clients that we call ‘Respect for the Victory’. This partnership with Real Madrid C.F. helps us to reinforce this concept.”

On behalf of Real Madrid, Butragueño said that ‘both entities share above all the same passion for sports, and for fair play and respect’ and that ‘we are now embarking on a journey that in principle will last for three years, although our desire is for a longer-lasting journey’.

This sponsorship is part of an ambitious development plan for Codere Group, which has 3,600 betting shops and foresees an annual growth in Spain of more than 7% by 2020. Both companies share origins in Madrid, an innovative strategic approach and a commitment to responsible gaming.
