Gamesys tests UK betting market with Bethotshot brand

Gamesys the operating company of UK online casino brand JackpotJoy, has confirmed that it will enter the UK betting market launching new brand Bethotshot in partnership with live betting specialist Metric Gaming.

The launch of the website will coincide with the start of Euro 2016 (10 June – 10 July), with Gamesys management stating that the company would use the brand as a beta testing platform for its future full-scale online betting product.

Once adjusted to market conditions, Gamesys will look to fully launch a new betting site under its Virgin brand license (likely to be, and align its services with current online casino asset, which was launched in 2013.

Bethotshot will be serviced by Metric Gaming acting as its main platform provider. The new brand represents the first time that Metric Gaming has been selected as a lead platform for a bookmaker.

The Las Vegas-based technology firm confirmed that it would support Gamesys with traditional fixed-line and in-play content, attached to its SuperLive betting market functionalities.

Announcing the beta launch of Bethotshot, Gamesys management stated that it was pleased to be finally entering the highly competitive UK sports betting market. The company further declared that it would aim to create the best future generation sportsbook for UK consumers.
