Metric Gaming partners Racing & Sports to get in on UK racing popularity

Metric Gaming, a European sportsbook platform provider, has partnered with Racing and Sports (R&S) to improve its horse and greyhound racing offering.

The company will utilise R&S’ racing product to enhance its offering in the UK and Ireland, where horse racing remains a popular betting sport despite some hurdles in recent years.

Metric has already taken the racing product live with Betzone, a UK-based operator which is a relative newcomer to the competitive market, having launched in 2021.

R&S’ platform consists of data, actionable bet prompts and multilingual content. The firm has designed this with the goal of providing “an unmatched horse racing product essential for success” in the UK, Ireland and other European markets.

As stated above, horse racing remains a popular sport in the UK, Ireland and other European markets, though it did suffer during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to face some problems with attendees.

Despite this, major betting events such as the Cheltenham Festival do help to boost the relevancy of the sport. Speaking to SBC News last week, UK bookmakers expressed confidence that fixtures like Cheltenham will remain pinnacles of the British betting experience moving forward.
