The deal extends the long-term relationship between the two; OpenBet has supplied the Leeds-based operator since it was formed in 2001.
OpenBet will continue to provide Sky Betting & Gaming with its online and mobile sports betting platform for a further five years, and the operator will retain full independence to innovate and differentiate by building its own customer interfaces on the OpenBet platform. Sky Betting & Gaming Chief Executive, Richard Flint said: “OpenBet has been an integral component of our business since day one. Against ever-changing regulatory frameworks and fast-moving technological developments, they continue to deliver. The OpenBet platform gives us the flexibility to create a first class Sportsbook that fits our brand and our players’ needs.”
Jeremy Thompson-Hill, OpenBet CEO, noted: “The fact that Sky Betting & Gaming has renewed for an additional five years is a statement of their firm commitment to OpenBet. The deal reflects both the confidence Sky Betting & Gaming have in our ability to support their growth and the outstanding relationship maintained by all of those working on their development.”
