Sports media rights and data insights firm, Perform Group Plc has announced the appointment of Dirk Ifsen as Managing Director of its German business division.

Ifsen will assume management responsibilities of Perform Group Germany, having been promoted from his previous role as managing director of Germany for sports data company Opta (Opta was acquired by Perform Group in July 2013)

Ifsen fills the role vacated by Manuel Lopez, who left the company in March 2014. Perform Group announced that Ifsen would oversee business practices for all German speaking territories in Europe including Switzerland and Austria.

Ifsen will head Perform Group Germany offices in Munich. Ifsen has previous experience in digital commercial enterprise having been Retail Director for Expedia Germany and Head of eCommerce platforms for Kabel Deustch Telecoms (a Vodafone Company).
