New online sportsbook BetWarrior has secured its first football partnerships with Paraense State (North Brazil) teams Clube do Remo and Paysandu Sport.
Complying with current Brazilian gambling regulatory frameworks, BetWarrior details that it has formed ‘fan-focused partnerships‘ with the two clubs, who compete in the ‘Campeonato Paraense’ state league.
BetWarrior’s partnerships will allow fans of Remo and Paysandu to place club wagers through ‘exclusively developed, fully native mobile applications’, directly supporting their clubs through the partnership with the bookmaker.
Launched this summer, BetWarrior is the new venture of former PokerStars executives Morten Tonnesen (CEO) and José del Pino (CCO), who seek to establish the brand as a challenger bookmaker within emerging LATAM markets.
José del Pino, co-founder and CCO of BetWarrior, said: “This is a hugely exciting and innovative approach to fan engagement, and we are thrilled to be kicking it off with two teams in Remo and Paysandu which boast such passionate fans.
“These are true partnerships between BetWarrior and the clubs, where we have worked hard to bring genuine value via dedicated, fully-native applications which fans can use to place bets.”
2019 has seen a number of Brazilian football clubs form ‘digital partnerships’ with online bookmakers, as national stakeholders await for clarity on the provisionally approved mandate of ‘Bill MP-846’, which may establish the conditions and standards for Brazil’s regulated sports betting market.
