GiG adds safer gambling features to GiG Data platform

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) will help its partners create a more sustainable playing environment after adding responsible gaming features to its real-time data platform, GiG Data.

The new responsible gaming features, which will be enabled by default, will provide GiG’s partners with insights around early detection and end-to-end lifetime monitoring capabilities for players that are likely to be vulnerable. 

Stephen Borg, Director of GiG Data, commented: “As a continued effort to build technology that supports today’s iGaming demands, we are excited to launch our proactive capabilities for player safety as part of our data platform. This initiative will support a healthier gambling environment for our partners and their players.” 

Upon the addition of responsible gambling features, which forms part of GiG’s ambition to help improve player safety, the platform provider noted that operators will now be able to intervene in instances where players are at risk of gambling-related harm with the use of direct messages in real-time. 

Also today, GiG signed an agreement for the provision of its iGaming platform which will power a new, undisclosed online casino ‘with the same ownership as an existing partner’.

The new casino will operate under a separate entity with its own licence, and is expected to launch in Q4 of this year.
