Virgin Bet will be returning title sponsor and partner of the Gold Cup Festival at Ayr Racecourse.
Running from 19-21 September, the deal also extends to fellow LiveScore Group brand, LiveScore Bet. The three-day meet includes the headline day of the Scottish Flat racing calendar too – The Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup.
Dominic Vye, Marketing Director at Virgin Bet, commented: “We are thrilled to announce Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet’s sponsorship with Ayr Racecourse once again this year. The past three years have been a huge success and have allowed us to deliver some incredible rewards and initiatives to the Ayr Racecourse community.
“This year, for the first time, we have partnered with Walk Safe as part of our ‘Good Bet’ brand propositioning, and plan to give racegoers the knowledge and tools to ensure they can travel home from a racing venue safely.”
Last year’s race was won by Significantly, trained by Julie Camacho and ridden by jockey Joe Fanning.
Saturday also features the Virgin Bet Ayr Silver Cup, the Virgin Bet Best Odds Daily Firth of Clyde Stakes (Group Race) and the LiveScoreBet Doonside Cup (Listed Race).
As part of The Ayr Gold Cup sponsorship, Virgin Bet’s Personal Safety Partner, WalkSafe, will be integrated at the festival.
The news comes on the heels of Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet’s deal last week with Chester Racecourse.
This saw Virgin Bet become the title sponsor of the Autumn Racing Food and Drink Weekend, which took place on 13 and 14 September, officially rebranding the event under the operator’s name.
Dominic Vye, Marketing Director of Virgin Bet, said at the time: “We are thrilled to announce Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet’s sponsorship with Chester Racecourse.
“Being the oldest racecourse still in operation, Chester holds a special place in the hearts of racing enthusiasts, and we are excited to now be a part of the Autumn Racing Food and Drink Weekend and help deliver an unparalleled sports betting experience.”
