QuinnBet enhances links to the Curragh as Irish Guineas sponsor

QuinnBet has become the official betting partner of the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival, which is taking place this week.

The sponsorship includes title naming of the €100,000 QuinnBet Emerald Mile, taking place on Friday, and the QuinnBet Premier Handicap with total prize money of €50,000 taking place on Sunday.

QuinnBet Managing Director, Stephen Kelly, commented: “We are delighted to have penned this deal with The Curragh which will see QuinnBet as the official betting partner of the 2024 Tattersalls Irish Guineas Festival.”

The meet takes place over three days, with the Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas being the main feature on Saturday 25 May.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, the Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas and Tattersalls Gold Cup take centre stage with both races set to gain increased international exposure as part of the Tote World Pool for the first time.

Kelly added: “The Curragh is widely regarded as one of the best racecourses in the World and home to Ireland’s five most important flat races, two of which will take place over the Guineas Festival and open the curtains on the Irish Summer Classics Season.

“It is therefore a huge privilege for QuinnBet to be associated with this event which builds on our ongoing commitment to sponsorship of Irish Racing, that we and our customers are so passionate about.”

It was in June 2023 that QuinnBet formed a partnership with The Curragh which included the launch of a new three race series.

The first of these competitive handicap races took place on the second day of the Juddmonte Irish Oaks Weekend on 23 July, followed by the second leg on 12 August and the final race on 7 October.

Meanwhile, this year’s Tattersalls festival is set to offer record prize money of more than €2.4m.

Curragh Racing and Sponsorship Manager, Evan Arkwright, expressed his delight that QuinnBet has agreed to enhance its association with the Curragh.

“Their brand will be visible across the three days to include sponsorship of two very competitive races which will ensure maximum exposure for them,” he concluded.
