Rank Interactive has appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer.
Joining The Rank Group later this year, Allanson will come from Entain, where he currently serves as Commercial Finance Director and is in charge of implementing value-adding financial initiatives across the gambling firm.
He will continue to be based in Gibraltar, and will now report to Richard Harris – CFO of The Rank Group.
Harris said: “I am delighted to welcome Sam as we continue to grow our Interactive business. His experience in consumer-facing businesses, particularly in betting and gaming, will be extremely valuable as we continue to implement our strategy.”
Furthermore, Allanson was previously the Commercial Finance Director at Ladbrokes when he joined Entain in June 2017, after the merger of Ladbrokes and Coral and before the company was acquired by GVC. Prior to joining Ladbrokes, he also worked for Sky.
On his new role, Allanson said: “Rank Interactive is an exciting place to be right now in the betting and gaming industry.
“Drawing from my previous experience in the sector, I look forward to contributing to Rank Interactive’s ongoing success and supporting the finance team in delivering the ambitious plans that Rank has for its digital growth.
“I am excited to be part of a senior management team with such a clear vision for growth.”
Last month, Rank announced Andrew Peat as Managing Director of the Interactive division.
Peat is also expected to assume the leadership role later this year, and will join the company’s executive management team from William Hill, where he most recently served as Sportsbook Director from 2018 to 2023.
