OpenBet ‘fully equipped’ operators for ‘exceptionally high’ Grand National results

OpenBet has reported ‘record-breaking’ results for the Grand National at the weekend, with 48 million bets processed during the three days festival.

While Derek Fox steered 8-1 favourite Corach Rambler to victory making him a two-time Grand National winner, the sportsbook provider took in an 8% increase of bets placed in comparison to 2022.

Jordan Levin, CEO at OpenBet, said: “At OpenBet, we understand the importance of the world’s biggest sporting events for our partners, and once again we have delivered.

“As expected, betting interest on the Grand National was exceptionally high, and the operators that OpenBet fuels were fully equipped with the technology and services required to provide a seamless betting experience for millions of players across the globe.

“We’re constantly innovating and upgrading our technology to provide the most advanced and reliable products and services to our partners.”

Furthermore, the company also demonstrated a 100% uptime through 85,000 peak bets per minute across all operators, which it credited to the supplier’s ‘powerful platform technology’.

“This success at the Grand National only reinforces our commitment to excellence, and we’re excited to continue working with our partners to deliver even more success in the future,” Levin continued.

More stats from OpenBet revealed that nearly 20 million bets were placed on the Grand National 5.15 race itself, the average stake for singles across Win and Each Way markets was £5.27 – nearly £2.50 lower in comparison to the Cheltenham Festival, and 5% of the total Grand National bets placed were on the winner.
