Sports Information Services (SIS) will continue to distribute live pictures and data from selected Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) tracks after the duo added a five-year extension to their partnership.
Through the extended agreement, SIS will offer coverage from the tracks across its retail and online portfolio, including its 24/7 Live Betting channels.
Paul Witten, Commercial Director at SIS, said: “We’re thrilled to be extending our partnership with GRI and to be distributing live pictures and data from a wide range of first-class Irish greyhound tracks over the next five years.
“We have enjoyed a very close working relationship together up to now and this new agreement will enable us to continue to promote Irish greyhound racing to our customers, while also offering them a greater number of new betting opportunities in the process.”
GRI races are set to feature more than 400 times a year across SIS’ services, with continued engagement with Racing Post Greyhound TV (RPGTV) to feature top-flight Irish racing when possible.
“Our partnership with SIS has been an excellent one and we are very pleased to be extending it through the announcement of this new agreement,” added Gerard Dollard, Chief Executive Officer at GRI.
“The SIS product has become a key part of our racing activity and is an important element for many involved in the greyhound community. It is our intention to continue to work with SIS to maximise any further opportunities that may arise during the course of the agreement.”
Earlier this week, SIS signed an agreement with Australia-based Sportsbet to supply coverage of both UK and Irish greyhound fixtures.
Through the deal, the operator’s new greyhound offering will consist of up to 53 meetings per week from British tracks including Central Park, Crayford, Doncaster, Harlow, Henlow, Hove, Monmore, Romford, and Towcester as well as Irish action from Cork, Kilkenny, Limerick, Mullingar, Tralee, Waterford and Youghal.
