SIS expands commercial team to drive multi-market growth

SIS (Sports Information Services) has made a number of promotions and appointments in pursuit of its strategy for further international growth and partnership development.

The 24/7 live betting services supplier has focused the hiring and promotions on its commercial team, creating three new Head of Sales roles covering three jurisdictions.

Joe Andrews has been promoted to Head of Sales of Africa, Angel Calderon will hold responsibility for Latin America and Iberia, whilst Helen Ridley will coordinate the firm’s UK and European sales operations.

Calderon and Ridley’s respective knowledge of the Latin American and Iberian betting markets and “proven record of customer partnership” In Europe were cited as key reasons for their new roles.

Meanwhile, four new Commercial Managers – Conall McSorley, Dave Richardson, Harri Hulatt and Andrew Kelly – have also been appointed to focus on the UK and European sector.

The new hires have been tasked with ensuring support for SIS’s operator partners in its key sales territories, as the company looks to further bolster its position across the three aforementioned markets.

Paul Witten, Commercial Director at SIS, said: “These new appointments will significantly strengthen our commercial capability across our key markets globally, as we aim to further drive our presence in new and existing markets.

“I am confident that the knowledge and expertise that they bring to the team will be of real benefit to SIS and to our operator partners.”

The appointments represent the second expansion of SIS’s workforce this year, after former Sky New Zealand, BSkyB and BT digital, and technology executive Julian Wheeler was hired as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer.

In the early stages of 2022, SIS is looking to capitalise on a strong commercial performance in 2021,, with the firm having most recently secured a deal with bet365, incorporating the global online betting brand into its network of tier-one operator partners.
