The Asociacion de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), the governing body of Spanish professional basketball has selected Genius Sports as its ‘Official Data Partner’.
Integrating Genius Sports’ LiveStats system, ACB will look to ‘unlock the value of its data’ forming a three-season partnership with the sports data specialist.
Detailing provisions, ACB will now operate Genius Sports ‘Sports Management Platform’ allowing for optimal collection of live data combined with refined distribution services for partners.
Furthermore, the data partnership will see Genius Sports become the exclusive rights holder to distribute the ACB’s data for betting purposes and non-exclusive media distribution rights, to fully exploit the value of the association’s data.
Commenting on the partnership Joan Manuel Carreras, ACB’s Director of Business Development, said: “This agreement is a very important step for ACB in order to guarantee the utmost data information value for the Liga Endesa. Genius Sports’ solution will allow us to keep our technological growth and to effectively share competition information with our clubs and sponsors.”
