SIS expands European content with Svensk Galopp broadcast deal

svenskagloppRacing media rights distributor SIS has expanded its European content portfolio by agreeing partnership terms with Swedish racetrack operator Svensk Galopp which will see its races broadcast in UK and Irish betting shops for the first time.

Launching its broadcast service  for Svensk Galopp, SIS will screen eleven races from the inaugural meeting at the newly-built racecourse, Bro Park on Sunday 19 June, including the Swedish 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas.

The agreement will see SIS overlay Svensk Galopp’s live footage of this high profile meeting and provide English commentary, as well as a comprehensive race day betting service with fixed odds and full race card coverage in the Racing Post betting shop display.

The exclusive broadcast deal with Svensk Galopp sees SIS bolster its international racing portfolio for UK customers, which further includes content from Germany, France, South Africa and the USA

The deal marks the first time SIS will broadcast any content from Sweden in the company’s three decades of operation.

Brent Dolan, Head Horse Racing Content, said: “We’re excited to bring this prestigious fixture of Swedish thoroughbred racing to our customers for the first time and, having never covered any type of horse racing from Sweden, we’re looking forward to customer feedback on the coverage of the Bro Park meeting and the interest it generates.”
