A Bet A launches MegaFan Manager for Euro 2016

Jason HardmanA Bet A will launch MegaFan Manager for Euro 2016, a product which takes Fantasy Football into UK and Irish retail bookmaking for the first time.

The service will allow customers from 1,000 shops to use their skill and knowledge of this summer’s Euro 2016 tournament to pick a team of 11 players with a fictional budget of £100m.

Each £2.00 stake will go towards a global jackpot, with additional games available among friends at shop-level.

A Bet A believe that the new game, which runs through Betting Limited’s pool betting licence and draws on Opta Sports Data, will be a big hit with both bookmakers and their customers.

Jason Hardman, Operations Manager at A Bet A, added: “Daily fantasy sports games are enjoying huge success online around the world and we’re excited to now be able to deliver such a popular product into Britain’s betting shops for the first time.

“Our aim has always been to breathe new life into those shops with compelling content and we firmly believe a game like MegaFan Manager will not only interest existing customers but appeal to a new generation too.

“It is a risk-free, plug-and-play product with no fees for our existing customers, and it involves a simple integration for those using other EPOS systems should they want it.”

If the project is a success, A Bet A have ambitious plans to launch the product full-time ahead of the new domestic season in the UK, with scope to make it available to online operators and in multi-sport variants.
