Spanish gambling operator Grupo R.Franco (R.Franco) has confirmed that it has made a substantial investment in independent online gambling platform provider Mediatech Solutions.
R.Franco governance stated that its strategic investment in Mediatech Solutions, represented the company’s goal of creating a “new omni-channel giant”.
The companies’ had prior working relationship, as Mediatech Solutions had delivered R.Franco its Spanish online gambling/betting platform, which included integrating product suites from BetConstruct (sports betting), Evolution Gaming (live casino), NetEnt, Microgaming and NYX Gaming (online casino content).
Boosted by the new funds Mediatech Solutions will move to scale up its international services, which will encompass offices in Belgrade (Serbia) and Kuala Lumper (Malaysia). The platform provider will aim to push its “Candy “service of connected land-based gaming products.
Grupo R.Franco CEO Pedro Melendo said: “The acquisition of Mediatech Solutions provides us with a market-leading online platform and the opportunity to further expand the Group’s digital footprint. The Spanish market will be transforming due to regulatory changes in the next few years and Franco’s ambition is to remain market leaders.”
