Casino 36 to gain go-ahead for Wolverhampton super casino

rubiconCasino 36 operators of Wolverhampton’s Rubicon Casino has confirmed the purchase of the former Dorchester Club, the premises which sits next to its casino. The operator has applied to Wolverhampton City Council for permission of an extension, which will allow for the creation of a super casino.

Wolverhampton City Council have so far shown support for the project, Councillor Peter Bilson noted to local news sources that the council was pleased with the casino operators purchase of the disused premises and that Casino 36 plans were to expand enterprise and business in the city.

“Clearly it is intended to improve the unused nightclub premises and expand a business that will offer jobs to people, which is good news. There will always be concerns about bringing in or extending a gambling institution in the city so we will be looking to seek assurances from the owners that they will act responsibly”. Noted Bilson

Casino 36 Director Adrian Ballard stated that the casino extension would create up to 113 jobs in the region. Casino 36 has already gained an established presence in the region by operating casinos in Stockport and Dudley.

The operator will use the additional premises to expand its gaming floor allowing for new slots machines, new table games and an additional poker area for live tournaments.

Casino 36 has donated £36,000 to Wolverhampton City Council to use on counselling programmes and community initiatives.
