Eastern European gambling operator Fortuna Entertainment reported year-on-year growth as the operator reached €674 million in wagering revenues up 18.5% on 2013 figures (€567 million).
Fortuna Entertainment reported growth on all top line metrics, as the operator recorded EBITDA revenues of €28.4 million up 6.4% on FY 2013 €26.7 million. The operator sustained a 2014 net profit of €15.9 million (FY 2013: 15.6 million).
Increased Sports betting wagering and improved digital performance were the key growth drivers. Fortuna betting operations in Poland, Czech Rep and Slovakia amassed a 2014 gross win of €125 million (FY 2013: €108 million). The improved performance saw its online betting division generate €67 million in gross win for 2014 (FY 2013: €51 million)
Fortuna management stated that it would continue to invest in its retail betting division, as the operator looks to expand its presence in central European markets. A key corporate focus in 2015 will be to prepare for a re-platforming into a multi-product and -channel
