A Paddy Power Galway customer has turned his €5 Stephens Day (26 December) accumulator into a €421,500 win.
The Galway customer placed a Super Coupon on Monday, December 22 in a Galway Paddy Power shop as 19 of his selections were straight Win-Draw-Win.
The customer opted for Man City -1 in the handicap market for the current Premier League champions’ game against West Brom, getting 7/5 rather than the 1/2 on offer for City simply to win.
The win makes the Galway man, who wishes to remain anonymous, Paddy Power’s top retail punter of 2014 (barring another massive win in the next few days).
A spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “It’s taken until the end of year but I think we’ve found our punter of 2014! It’s not often that we see a 20-team accumulator come in and we can only congratulate the Tribesman that has speared us.”
