Pitch ICE calls on start-ups to meet deadline and connect with investors

Betting and gaming start-ups have been reminded of the upcoming deadline to submit entries to the Pitch ICE initiative for 2023.

Companies have until this Thursday, 8 December, to pitch their businesses, solutions and innovative approaches to prospective industry investors and ICE London attendees.

The initiative chooses up to 14 successful participants, with interested start-ups applying for the programme via a two-minute video.

ICE London Event Director, Andy Ventris, stated: “Clarion Gaming has a proud track-record of promoting start-up businesses by using the influence of its brands to help make the connections that all businesses need.

“In fact we have been providing start-ups with a gateway to industry investors and strategic partners since 2009, with many securing important investments and acquisition partners as a direct result of their pitch presentations.”

Once entrants have been submitted, the wider industry then votes, with individuals able to cast up to 10 votes for the firms they want to see showcase at ICE.

This is followed by an assessment of firms by an independent panel of professionals who will select up to 14 start-ups, with successful companies securing a free charge pod on the Pitch ICE pavilion for three days.

Additionally, chosen start-ups will also pitch to potential investors at a ‘dedicated time’ on either Tuesday 7 or Wednesday 8 February 2023 on the PITCH ICE stage.

Ventris added: “Pitch ICE is for new companies that are beyond the ‘concept phase’. There must be a demonstrable product and we are looking for propositions that are built on solid technology and that are scalable.

“Pitch ICE is about recognising the extraordinary entrepreneurial talent that exists within this industry and helping them on their journey.”

One of the largest B2B betting and gaming expo events, ICE is due to take place at the ExCel London between 7-9 February 2023.
