Anda Bater! Betclic remixes Ronaldo’s winning war cry

Betclic Portugal has remixed the battle cry of football icon Cristiano Ronaldo to inspire another Portuguese victory at Euro 2020.

This week, the bookmaker unveiled its new advertising campaign ‘Andar bater, tu bates bem – ‘Come here, You Knock it Well’, named after the infamous words that Portuguese captain Ronaldo shouted to his teammate João Moutinho during the tense penalty shootout against Poland at Euro 2016.

Against the odds, Portugal would win Euro 2016, achieving the nation’s greatest football achievement – a feat Betclic Portugal believes can be replicated with the help of its catchy campaign song.

Ronaldo’s famous war cry of ‘Andar bater, tu bates bem’ has been remixed by Betclic Portugal featuring carioca-pop sensation Blaya, which will be released as the Selecao’s unofficial Euro 2020 theme song.

“The Euros always raise the interest of public and it is important to convey the message that betting is an entertainment activity,” remarked Betclic Portugal Brand Manager Miguel Domingues.

“We thought that the best way to get this message across was to create a song based on the celebration of our victory in 2016.”
