Betano has secured its second sponsorship agreement in the Brasileiro Serie A, signing a two-year deal with Rio de Janeiro-based Fluminense FC.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Kaizen Gaming operator will gain brand visibility on the front of Fluminense players shirts, with the Betano logo appearing on the team’s jerseys in the opening match of the Brazilian Cup against Bragantino.
Kaizen Gaming CMO Panos Konstantopoulos said: “This partnership marks our commitment in the Brazilian market. We look forward to seeing the Betano brand in the legendary Maracana which is home to the team. We will work along with the club to find ways to enhance our social responsibility plan in Brazil.”
The agreement strengthens Betano’s Brazilian marketing strategy, having already struck a sponsorship deal with Atletico Mineiro in January – its first commercial partnership with a sports club.
Additional sporting partners include leading Greek clubs Olympiacos and PAOK, as well as Braga and Maritimo in Portugal’s top-flight Primeira Liga.
One of the largest sports betting and gaming companies in Greece, Kaizen is active in Germany, Romania, Portugal and Brazil via Betano, in addition to operating its Stoixman brand in the local Greek market.
The firm’s marketing activities are overseen by Claus Jansson, who joined the board in January shortly after the debut sponsorship deal with Atletico Mineiro, with the responsibility of coordinating Betano’s international expansion.
Commenting on the club’s new partnership, Fluminense President Mário Bittencourt remarked: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Betano as the team’s main sponsor.
“I am particularly happy that Betano understands the greatness of our club and I am sure that together we will celebrate many victories and distinctions. We welcome Betano to our family.”
