Betano will continue as FC Porto’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the next three seasons.

The Kaizen Gaming-owned operator will continue as the Dragons’ main sponsor until the end of the 2028/29 season after extending an already-five-year-long partnership.

This season will mark the first time that the Betano logo will feature on the front of the FC Porto Women’s Team shirt, with the brand being emblazoned on those shirts as well as the club’s first team and B team.

“FC Porto is stronger when its partners are stronger too. It is through this mutually beneficial relationship, one that we have built on trust and commitment, that both our Club and our partners thrive,” said José Pedro Pereira da Costa, Executive Board Member and Chief Financial Officer of FC Porto.

“Betano has been a key partner through many important moments, and we are therefore delighted to extend our partnership until 2029. Far beyond its presence on the front of our shirt, Betano has played a decisive role in several Club projects, particularly Inzone, which is a source of great pride for us.

“And, of course, there are the many initiatives we have developed together, which are an integral part of the Club’s vitality and which we are certain will continue to grow over the coming years.”

The renewed partnership will also include fan-focused activations and Betano says it will expand social responsibility initiatives.

FC Porto’s success to boost Betano’s visibility

It comes off the back of FC Porto winning the Liga Portugal for the 31st time, fending off competition from regular rivals Sporting CP and Benfica, the latter of whom went unbeaten but finished third.

The league is dominated by betting sponsors, with Betclic sponsoring the league itself

FC Porto will now look to go back-to-back for the first time since the 2012/13 season and look to build on its European performances.

Their European campaign last season was brought to an end by Premier League side Nottingham Forest, who knocked them out of the Europa League at the quarter final stage.

The club will now compete in the Champions League for the first time since the 2023/24 season, increasing Betano’s exposure.

Julio Iglesias Hernando, Chief Commercial Officer at Kaizen Gaming, commented: “FC Porto has been an exceptional partner over the past five years, a period in which the club has won an impressive total of eight domestic titles, and we are delighted to extend this successful relationship until 2029.

“This renewal reflects the strong trust we have built together and our shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering memorable experiences for fans. We are especially proud to expand our partnership to include FC Porto’s Women’s Team, supporting another important milestone in the club’s journey.

“We look forward to continuing to grow together, both on and off the pitch, while creating a positive and lasting impact for the FC Porto community.”
